PLDD: (Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression)

PLDD is a mini invasive surgical technique in the treatment of cervical, and Lumbar disc herniations.

With the use of the Eufoton LASEmar 980 the disc bulge will be reduced by laser vaporisation of the nucleus pulposus which is a water based central part of the disc. Due to the annular wall changes this nucleus protrudes against the annular wall in turn putting pressure on the nerves.

Where the disc is still contained, Pain relief can be achieved through the treatment with a laser disc decompression to relieve this pressure. Ultimately relieving the continuing back pain and allow recovery back to normal form and function.
